The international research network CCCA (Collaboration and Community-Building in Contemporary Art) is a new network supported by The Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education. The main purpose of the network is to strengthen the research exchange and collaboration between Japan and Denmark with attention to participatory and socially-engaged contemporary art in depopulated rural areas. The long term aim is to investigate the role of art in site specific and local communities within a global context.

The first workshop in this network will be held in Tokyo, January 31-February 1, 2018.
