Green Transition and World-Care in
Early Childhood Education and Care

About the project

This project aims at developing a Danish model for early childhood education for sustainability, ECEfS based on what we term World-Care. The project is designed for changing practices of everyday life in early years education - based on collaborative research with professionals, children and parents. Together with professionals, management and municipality level we will develop ways of promoting World-Care in children and adults through education. Identifying potentials and challenges for making more sustainable choices, structural solutions, activities and habits through experiments and evaluation we aim at developing concepts and practical solutions generally applicable to the ECEC area. By describing the model and World-Care concept together with its collaborative components other municipalities and ECEC facilities can use our results to change their own practices in a more sustainable direction.
