We are currently conducting TIMSS, and data is being collected until May 2023.
TIMSS 2023 is the eighth edition of the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study since 1995. With over 20 years of trend data, TIMSS has been a valuable tool for observing trends in fourth-grade mathematics and science/technology skills.
Just like previous TIMSS studies, TIMSS 2023 will collect detailed information on curricula and their use, teaching practices and school resources.
The main TIMSS 2023 study will be conducted from March to May 2023 among approximately 5,000 fourth-grade students.
The International TIMSS & PIRLS Study Center at the Lynch School of Education, Boston College, USA, serves as the international research centre for TIMSS 2023 in close collaboration with the IEA.
