DTL typically focuses on enhancing companies' specific production processes or products. This can take many forms: from optimizing production lines at Vestas, streamlining small and highly specialized productions at Landia, to monitoring tool wear at Millpart.
DTL aims to demonstrate what the industry of the future will look like and to lay the groundwork for the development of product prototypes through increased digitalization, new materials, and production technologies.
DTL focuses on Digital Twin technology. A digital twin is a digital replica of a product or a production process that can be developed and tested.
With a digital twin, we can, among other things, simulate products or processes, reducing the need to produce as many prototypes.
DTL will ensure that local businesses have access to the latest knowledge, innovation, and technology, and will help establish collaborations between companies and researchers at Aarhus University.
DTL aims to contribute to local development and growth for the benefit of both the business community and the residents of the municipality.
